Dr. George P. Fahed Iñigo

Obtained his Bachelor in Arts from Boston University (1994). He graduated medical school from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico (1998). Completed a Residency Program (1998-1999) and an Internal Medicine Training (2001-2003) in Hospital Damas Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Was the Attending Clinical Physician in the Internal Medicine Department in Hospital Damas (2002-2003). From 2003-2006 completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Completed a fellowship training in Sleep Medicine (2006-2007) at University Hospitals of Cleveland, becoming the first Puerto Rican to enter ACGME accredited Sleep Fellowship.

Dr. Fahed is a Diplomate American Board of Sleep Medicine and a Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of National Wellness Foundation, American Thoraic Society, and Society of Critical Care Medicine, amongst other organizations.

Dr. Fahed has a genuine interest in promoting awareness, early detection, and cure of sleep disorders as well as Workplace and Personal Wellness. He is currently the Founder and Medical Director of Somnos Comprehensive Sleep & Respiratory Clinics in Ponce and Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Additionally, Dr. Fahed serves as an Associate Professor at Ponce Medical School.

While managing his clinics and students, Dr. Fahed still finds time to be a musician with mastery in various instruments, participate in water sports, and go out and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking. He has been married for 18 years and is a father of two daughters, 13 and 7 years old.
